Global OLED Monitor Shipments Surge 65% YoY in 3Q25, Redefining Market Landscape, Says TrendForce

TrendForce’s latest investigations reveal that global OLED monitor shipments hit 644,000 units in Q3 2025, marking a 12% increase from the previous quarter and a 65% rise from the previous year. Known for their outstanding image quality, wide color range, high contrast, and rapid response times—with many models supporting refresh rates of 240 Hz or more—OLED monitors have established themselves as the preferred choice in the high-end gaming market. The total shipments for 2025 are projected to reach 2.62 million units, reflecting an 84% annual growth, fueled by concerted efforts from panel makers and brands.

ASUS surpasses Samsung to claim top spot; MSI holds strong in third place

TrendForce reports that the ranking of the top two OLED monitor brands’ rankings changed in 3Q25, with ASUS surpassing Samsung to become the leader with a 21.9% market share. ASUS’s achievement is due to its wide product range: besides its popular ROG gaming monitors, it introduced ProArt OLED models for creators, along with portable and foldable dual-screen monitors. This diversification and ongoing innovation have strengthened ASUS’s reputation in the mid- to high-end market, and its OLED monitor shipments are expected to rank first globally in 2025.

Samsung held the second position worldwide with an 18% market share. Its OLED monitor shipments stayed steady from the first to the third quarter of 2025, with shipments mainly concentrated on flagship models early in the year. In the second half, Samsung increased shipments of new models to prepare for the holiday sales season in Q4, aiming to further enhance overall shipment growth.

MSI, initially fifth in 2024, rose to third place in 2025, demonstrating the success of its market approach. The company now provides more than 20 mid- to high-end models across different price ranges, emphasizing UHD high-resolution displays to serve the visual needs of next-generation GPUs and AAA gaming. Its capacity to coordinate product releases with cutting-edge panel technologies has boosted its role as a leading innovator in the OLED monitor market.

LGE ranked fourth with a 12.9% market share in 3Q25. After dropping to fifth in Q2 due to a production site transition, LGE recovered with the successful completion of its factory relocation and the launch of new models. TrendForce anticipates that LGE will advance further in Q4, thanks to new product launches and robust promotion of its 45-inch OLED models, and possibly move up to third place in global rankings.
