Tatung to re-enter PDP TV marke

One year after exiting the PDP TV market, Taiwan-based consumer electronics vendor Tatung aims to return to market by launching three low-priced PDP TVs in July. A TV where audio outperforms image quality---Sony launches its first integrated 5.1 audio N4000 Series in North America

Sony recently made some changes to its LCD TV model names in US market. In 2008, excluding the XBR series, the names of all its new lineups in the North America market now end with the numbers 4000/4100 (for example V4100) instead of the previous 3000. In addition, in 2Q08, it added the N, M, and L series for its below 40" HD segment. In the past, Sony did not offer 37" models in North America. This has changed, due to a shift in Sony's panel procurement strategy. The 3 new series all belong to the entry-level segment, as none of them support Full HD.
