Panasonic lifts veil on the FHD 46" PZ85

In 2008, Panasonic added the 46" to its VIERA PDP TV lineup. As its 5x and 6x range respectively includes the 50", 55" and 58" and 60", 61", 63" and 65" sizes, it is reasonable to add another size to its 4x class (previously there was only the 42"). Based on WitsView’s observation, the panel prices of the three major applications--NBs, monitors, and TVs, fell due to the traditional weak seasonality of the first quarter. In terms of the profit margins, NBs are considered the most profitable segment. In terms of unit shipments, monitors account for the largest share.
